The Problem of the Nature of «Self» in Russian Philosophy

In article the concepts of «self», stated in works of N. Lossky, S. Franc and L. Lopatin are critically considered. Arguments against the idea of transcendence of «self» in relation to the phenomenal content of the consciousness, contained in N. Lossky and S. Frank’s works, are stated. The position of L. Lopatin, assuming immanence of the «self» to consciousness contents, is supported.

On the Possibility of Living through the Experience of the Other in the Socio-Phenomenological Concept of R. Zaner

The article analyzes the problematization of the concept of the Other in social phenomenology. It has been shown that the study of this topic is connected with the solution of two interrelated issues: the issue of the paramount living of the Other’s figure and the question of the possibility of living through the Other’s experience. These questions in phenomenology are traditionally solved using two opposing approaches: the perceptual approach of M. Scheler or the apperceptive approach of A. Schütz, based on the views of E. Husserl.

Transcendental Subject, Spirit and Identity: from I. Kant to C. G. Jung

The aim of the work is to identify factors influencing the philosophical views of I. Kant on the formation of the psychoanalytic concept of C. G. Jung. The methods of explication, comparison and hermeneutic analysis are used. The central place is given to the study of the influence of I. Kant’s thoughts on the transcendental subject of thought and the human self, on the psychological and philosophical reflection of consciousness and unconscious of C. G. Jung. Moreover, the study focuses on the ideas of I. Kant, which C. G. Jung used in his psychoanalytic theory.

Human Existence as Writing

The article’s aim is to investigate human existence through the notion of writing, using philosophical concepts of J. Derrida and J.-L. Nancy. Any of our actions or thoughts can be interpreted as acts of writing, located on the surface of touching, in the area, where oneself is opening to the Other. Our existence doesn’t “have sense”, but it itself becomes the sense, being written out. The paper also raises the issue of the idea of self. Being local and for that reason always different effect of writing, ego hereby is fragmentary, irreducible to any unity, devoid of self-identity.

Social "Self" Optimal Distinctiveness Model

Optimal distinctiveness theory manifests «self»-categorization theory development, elaborated for the sake of eliciting reasons due to which individuals strive for identifications with social groups as well as for clarifying social identities roles in attaining and maintaining a steady and fixed «self»-concept.

Reflection of the Concepts “Spirit” and “I” in Nonclassical Philosopy

This article is devoted to the research of the problem of the interconnection of consciousness, self-consciousness and spirit in the works of representatives of nonclassical philosophy. The subject of the study is the reflection of the concepts “I” and “spirit” in the writings of representatives of nonclassical philosophy. First of all, the work analyzes different, sometimes diametrically opposed, views of representatives of nonclassical philosophy on the interconnection of the concepts “spirit” and “I”.
