Internality Predictors in a Situation of Economic, Physical and Social Deprivation

Systemic analysis in medical psychology involves the study of the impact of both physical and social restrictions (disability) on the psyche of the patient and economic deprivation. To overcome the disease situation psychologically, the patient has to be ready for difficult life situations, which also include situations of failure. A sick person needs objective and subjective external support both of the family and other people in order to keep his or her active life position, especially if the person has a disability. The findings of this study show that in the situations of illness and economic deprivation, the externality in situations of failure increases, reflecting the overall ability to understand and control your life. Economic failure reduces individual capacity. Disease as a hardship increases the demands on personality and family relationships. Disability is the need for maximum self-awareness, which makes it possible to find emotional resources to maintain control over your own life. The internality in a situation of failure can be considered a significant characteristic of personality transformation in a situation of illness. The greater the social and physical limitations are, the more difficult it is to continue relying on yourself. This is reflected in the decreasing internal position, which is replaced by relying on external opportunities, family and others.
