Mechanisms of emotional response in children with mental retardation

The article examines the characteristic mechanisms of the emotional response of children with mental retardation. The study of domestic authors on this issue is carried out within the framework of identifying the specifics of emotional manifestations and assessing the emotional response in children and adults. A comparison is made of the characteristics of perception, diff erentiation and understanding of various emotions, the manifestation of emotional reactions by children with disabilities and children with normal mental development.

Psychological strategies and types of financial behavior of students at diff erent Russian universities

The article presents the results of empirical research aimed at a comparative analysis of fi nancial behavior strategies and economic aspirations of Russian students (N = 80, age 19–20 years) studying at metropolitan and regional universities (Saratov and Moscow). As methods of research were used survey and testing (questionnaire of subjective economic well-being V. A. Khashchenko; test of dispositional optimism in modifi cation of T. O. Gordeeva, O. A. Sychev, E. N. Osin; questionnaire of self-organization of activity in E. Yu.

Institutional trust as a mediator of the connection of meta-values with the emigration attitude of Russian youth

In science, there have been no attempts to study institutional trust as an intermediary between the emigration attitude and meta-values, which actualizes this problem. The purpose of the study: to determine the role of institutional trust in the connection of metavalues with the emigration attitude. Research hypothesis: institutional trust mediates the connection of meta-values (a) Conservation, (b) Openness to change, (c) Self-enhancement (d) Self-transcendence with the emigration attitude.

The Model of Individual Commitment Factors to Social Community

In this article the author's original system model of factors of individual commitment to a social community of a country has been introduced. The author suggests that the key factor of the given model is the social-psychological space of an individual represented by a person’s image sphere and meaningful sense forming feelings. The author also introduces the concept of the level of social integration as one of the important parameters of individual commitment to the social community and describes the image-association test and mathematical toolkit of its measurement.

Correlation between Emotional Intelligence and Tolerance for Uncertainty of HIV-Infected Convicts

The article reviews the research results of correlation between emotional intelligence and tolerance for uncertainty in convicts with comorbid pathology (HIV and TB). The following methods were used: The Questionnaire on Emotional Intelligence EmIn (D. V. Lyusin), The New Questionnaire of Tolerance for Uncertainty (T. V. Kornilova). Conclusion: HIV-infected convicts with TB significantly differ from the control group in understanding emotions and interpersonal emotional intelligence.

Cognitive Strategies Drift in Political Communication

The cognitive basis of the political communication is the alteration of the learning activity pattern in the process of a political text perception. The main factor of the alteration is the cognitive strategies drift. The drift takes place when the balance of the expansion strategy and the deepening strategy in the understanding process of the communication content changes.

Adaptative Strategies under the Conditions of Serious Disabling Disease as a Subjective Element of the Disease Situation

The article analyzes adaptive strategies of patients with pulmonary tuberculosis in terms of the author’s «disease situation» concept. The identified strategies are considered as aspects of the «disease situation» subjective element. The author examines the model of coping strategies, which is specific for patients with pulmonary tuberculosis, as a system of coping strategies contradictory in its functions, connected with the semantic refocusing of a person and the rejection of a new social identity of the disabled person.

The Vital Script of the Personality: the Basic Approaches to Consideration

The article is dedicated to the consideration of personality vital script as a socio-psychological phenomenon that is associated with the ability of life planning, designing and structuring. The author compares the approaches of national and foreign authors to the determination of the individual life script and its structural components. The basic directions of contemporary native and foreign researches of life script are analyses in the article. Particular attention is paid to the awareness of its formation and implementation in the process of life.

Structure of Psychological Time and Psychological Age of Person

The article is focused on the relationship between the structure of psychological time and the structure of an individual. The idea of the relativity of time, typical for the science in the twentieth century, is analyzed and a differentiated study of psychological time and mental age of the various structural elements of personality is justified . The author emphasizes the need for a systematic approach in both theoretical and empirical studies of psychological time of the individual. Possible structure of the functional dynamics of psychological time of an individual is discussed.

Audioverbal Memory and Attention of Teenagers with Favorable Forms of Epilepsy and Schizophrenia

The article concerns the problem of audioverbal memory and attention as types of cognitive deficits in adolescents with favorable forms of psychopathology. Cognitive functions of 70 patients aged 16–17 years, were assessed and compared with normative performance of healthy peers using z-scores (Z). We used the method «Schulte’s Tables» and «10 words». All results of patients were compared among themselves and with normative group.
